We know that some visitors to Paris decide that once they’ve seen the Louvre, they’ve seen the best the city has to offer. We’re here to make sure you don’t make the same mistake! Established as a museum in the early 20th century, the Orangerie has one of the world’s most spectacular collections of Impressionist and post-Impressionist art.
Your 1.5-2 hour walking tour, led by a private guide, starts with a walk through the stunning Tuileries Gardens. Once at the museum, your guide will take you through an extensive collection of 19th to 20th century paintings, including Cézanne’s studies of fruit and flowers, Matisse’s seductive portraits and stunning work by the likes of Modigliani, Renoir and Picasso. You’ll then linger over the uncontested standout of the gallery, Monet’s eight water lilies, spread out over two breathtaking galleries that were once hailed as “the Sistine Chapel of Impressionism”. By the end, you may decide that this is your new favorite museum!
